| My name is Deputy Chad Weeks , I am K-9 Handler for the Garvin County
Sheriff's Office.
My K-9 partner is named Xena , Xena is a female German Sheppard. I have been Xenas handler for two years.
We were employed by the Garvin County Sheriff's Office in August of 2008.
Xena is certified by the State of Oklahoma as a Controlled Dangerous Substance Detector K-9.

Deputy Karey Poteet, age 37 is the first paid female deputy in the History of the Garvin County
Sheriff's Office. She started with Garvin County Sheriff's Office June 11, 2007 as a Detention Deputy/Dispatcher. After being employed for 6 months with the
Sheriff's Office
she was promoted to Sergeant over the 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. shift.
August 1, 2008 She was promoted to Field Deputy. Deputy Poteet recently completed 576 hours of Counsel on Law Enforcement Education and Training
(CLEET).
In February 2009 She was promoted to K-9 handler. Deputy Karey Poteet's partner is Miki a 3-year-old German Shepard that is trained to detect controlled dangerous
substances |
Deputy Sheriff Jeff Poteet is a Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training Intermediate Certified Peace Officer.
He has been a full Time Peace Officer since 1998.
Deputy Poteet is currently assigned to the Garvin County Sheriff Office K-9 division.
He has been a K9 handler for 8 years and is currently using his 3rd Police
K9. Currently he is assigned Beny who is a three year old dual purpose German Shepard that is used for patrol and Narcotics work.
Deputy Poteet and Beny holds a current Oklahoma Council On law Enforcement Education and Training K9 Team license.
Deputy's responsibilities include criminal patrol, investigations and K9 training.
